Puerto Rico (working title) 1x60

Puerto Rico (working title) Hurricane Maria cut a swath of devastation across Puerto Rico and as millions waited for months for electricity, the island’s deep troubles and history of neglect were suddenly thrust into the light. FRONTLINE and NPR investigate the federal government’s response, the challenges of recovery and the preparation needed in the face of storms. The documentary also looks at the 3.5 million Americans struggling under a bankruptcy that has wiped out life savings, left pensions at risk and a government unable to provide basic services.
