PBS Int’l targets Lat Am growth, promotes Sabrina Hall Aguirre to sales manager

US distributor PBS International (PBSI) has upped Sabrina Hall Aguirre to the position of sales manager, as part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its presence in Latin American markets.

She starts the new role this month and was elevated from her previous position of Lat Am sales executive.

Leveraging her industry experience, cultural knowledge and connections in Lat Am territories, Hall Aguirre is charged with building partnerships and driving content sales in the region.

She will also be responsible for overseeing existing partnerships, forging new relationships, and shaping the company’s sales strategy to bring PBS’s catalogue of factual and kids programming to Lat Am. Her promotion coincides with PBS’s debut slate of Lat Am local-language content, with additional Spanish titles scheduled for release throughout 2024.

The roster spans genres including history, nature, science and kids’ programming, including titles such as Lyla in the Loop, Fly with Me and Easter Island Origins.

Hall Aguirre joined PBS in late 2021. Prior to that she had worked as a talent coordinator for the International Academy of TV, Arts & Sciences.

Joe Barrett, VP of global sales at PBSI, said: “Sabrina’s promotion reflects our commitment to expanding business in the Lat Am region and strengthening our sales team.”
