Built for speed and carrying more sail than any ship before or since, they smashed records as they sped across the world’s oceans. Now, shipbuilders take on a near impossible challenge: to recreate one of the greatest sailing ships ever known – an historic clipper ship. Following every step of the process over two years, the filmmakers capture the building of a mighty sailing ship as fast and graceful as the Cutty Sark or Flying Cloud – from the first computer generated designs through a hair raising launch, to the day when this three-masted giant, christened the Shabab Oman II, hoists her 29 sails for the first time.
