Kip Kinkel, a ﬁfteen-year-old from a solid middle-class family, made headlines in 1998 when he was accused of murdering his mother and father and then opening ﬁre on his fellow students at his Eugene, Oregon high school, killing two and injuring twenty-two others. FRONTLINE goes behind the headlines of this tragic case of a seemingly normal teenage boy to explore what went wrong. The program includes interviews with Kinkel’s friends, family and counselors, as well as with his sister, Kristin, who tries to understand what happened to her troubled brother.
